  • Cartridge filters should be cleaned every 6 months or as needed which ever comes sooner and cartridges need to be replaced every 3 years.  Expect to need extra filter Cleaning services after dust storms or monsoons

How long should my pump run?

  • As a rule of thumb your filter pump should run a minimum of 1 hour per 10 degrees Fahrenheit of ambient daily high temperature. For example if the daily temperature is 100°f and you have a single speed pump it needs to run a minimum of 10 hours.

Does my pool really need to be serviced every week?

  • Yes, swimming pools need to have weekly chemicals testing and chemistry balanced in order to maintain a healthy and safe swimming pool free of algae and other harmful water born illnesses and bacteria.

How long do I have to wait to swim after my pool has been socked?

  •   Wait until chlorine levels are between 1-5ppm but a quick guide for shocking during day light hours is to wait 1 hour per 1 pound of shock added.

Will having my pool acid washed remove that white calcium ring on my tile?

  • No, the only really effective and efficient way to remove a hard water calcium line is media blasting the line off with an abrasive media blaster.

What is CYA/Cyanuric acid?

  • Stabilizer or cyanuric acid is a chemical that protects the chlorine from being degraded by UV rays. CYA can only be lowered by draining water and replenishing with fresh water and builds up over time from the chlorine tabs, when this happens the effectiveness of sanitizer is greatly diminished putting swimmers health at risk and can cause accerlated wear to your pools pebble tech or plaster.

What is a salt pool or a salt-water chlorinator?

  •  A salt water pool simply uses a process that takes salt (sodium chloride) and breaks it down to convert it into chlorine that sanitizes your pool water.  Its still a chlorine pool, its just being made every time your filter pump run.
